Ficus lyrata, or the Fiddle Leaf Fig, is a species of evergreen tropical tree native to the tropical lowlands of western Africa. Belonging to the fig/mulberry family, Moraceae, it takes its nickname from its giant green leaves: They are similar to the size and shape of fiddles.
